Board and Staff
INYO COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS PERSONNEL, 2018
Lynn Cooper, Executive Director, heads the staff of Inyo Council for the Arts. Lynn is a native Californian and has lived in the Eastern Sierra off and on for approximately 32 years. Prior to becoming the E.D. in 2001, Lynn was employed as a staff accountant for a local accounting firm and was instrumental in setting up and maintaining ICA’s financial systems. Lynn also volunteered at Arts Council activities for three years before being selected, and was passionate about programs being offered to the public. She has served on several boards including the Inyo County School Board, Friends of the Jill Kinmont Boothe School, and the Bishop Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her work as an accountant for 20+ years, she had experience in the non-profit world in recruiting and managing 100+ volunteers as Director of Canine Development for Guide Dogs of the Desert. Under her direction in the last 16 years, ICA has become the leader in advancing the arts in the Eastern Sierra.
Erin Livingston, School Arts Coordinator, is a teaching artist who grew up in Colorado, but has since lived in several states and abroad. She made her way to Bishop in 2010, where she promptly had two sons. Now that they are in school, she is delighted to have joined the ICA team to support arts education in Inyo County schools and communities. Her background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, a California Teaching Credential for Elementary School, and years of experience coordinating and teaching art in various situations and communities.
Ryan Finch, Administrative Assistant/Programs Coordinator, grew up in Bishop, and after having gone off to the bay area for college, returned to the Eastern Sierra. An avid musician, Ryan’s musical talents were nurtured early on with support from the ICA and the arts community in the area. He is pleased to be back in his hometown helping with all aspects of the Council’s operations.
Rachael Gabriel, Administrative Assistant/Programs Coordinator, recently relocated to Bishop from Kansas, where she received a degree in English and Art History from the University of Kansas. Although new to the area, Rachael is excited to help ICA continue their support of the arts in the Eastern Sierra!
